Today was a normal day until about 35 minutes ago... Jean and I decided to get groceries from our local supermarket (something we don't often do). First of all, we discovered some areas we didn't know existed (like the butcher, where we scored some chicken legs really cheap, and the produce area, where we got at least 4 different veggies and 3 kinds of fruit for less then $3!). Then we thought maybe we'd get some snack - a bad idea usually, but we're watching a movie tonight so we figured why not. That's when magic happened.

THEY HAD DORITOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who don't know, Jean and I are crazy about Doritos, always have been. And lately I've really been craving them. Doritos have not caught on in China yet because most Chinese do not like cheese (though this is changing in the younger generation). Well, there on the shelf sat two different kinds of Doritos. I swear I almost had a meltdown right there in the supermarket - Jean was telling me to calm down (I think I was embarrassing him a little with my supersonic "DOOO-RIIIIII-TOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!") and my mouth was watering like you wouldn't believe. Haha so we bought them (duh!), and now we're at home, and I'm eating them as I write this blog. They taste amazing, the best Doritos I've had in my life! Ah, the life of a foreigner in China! LOL

Now that I have you laughing at me (trust me, I know you are), I figured I'd also share some photos that we took on the way to the supermarket. There is a park above the market (it's underground) and they have already decorated the park for Chinese New Year (which is not for another two months). See if you can identify all the "animals" they have designed using flowers and plants, it's pretty cool! Enjoy!
