I know that most of you have the notion that all Katrina and I do is lay by the pool and get tan which, ladies and gentleman, is officially incorrect.
The other day we decided that we should branch outside of the pool so we decided to take a shuttle bus to Ubud (the Arts and Cultural part of Bali) for the night and see what else there is to do in Bali. Now other than the abundant amount of mosquitoes, Ubud is awesome. The first day we got there we found a place to stay (Sania's House) and rented a scooter to go and check out the Monkey Sanctuary.

I was stoked!

We pulled up, paid, bought some bananas and headed on in. I was amazed to see them all over the place, walking down the path, hanging out on the walls, climbing tress, grooming each other 2 feet from you! It was amazing. The first monkey I came across, I handed a banana to but he wanted nothing to do with the banana. He threw it to the ground and held on to my fingers. He was soooo cute.
At this point Katrina was holding on to the bag of bananas and decided that it was in her best interest to hand them over to me since it seemed as though I was more into interacting with the monkeys than she was haha so I took over.
We walked a little further and a monkey came outta nowhere, jumped up and ripped the bag out of my hands. He stole a couple bananas and took off. I then bent down and picked the rest of the bunch up and headed on my way.
Everywhere we walked monkeys would come up to you and you would hand them a banana, they would peel it and eat and be happy. I went to sit down on ledge and a monkey came up to me and started grabbing one banana after the other so I attempted to take the bananas away from him which was probably a stupid idea seeing as how I then got "bitch slapped" by him haha. Not really but he swung at my face so I turned my back to him. It was hilarious...Katrina laughed her ass off haha.

There are a couple things we learned about monkeys...
1. Stay away from the pervery monkey who likes to pull down girls dresses
2. They are greedy...just give them what they want
3. Don't be fooled by the monkey who fakes being sick or tired cause all he wants is a banana
3. Monkeys love bananas, cucumbers and sweet potatoes...who would have thought
4. The babies are super cute when you are up close and personal.

Now for the other things that we saw in Ubud. I know you are all going to hate me for saying this but please check out Katy's blog for all of this information and pictures (we have the same ones) because she wrote up (and by wrote up I mean copied out of our travel book) little blurbs of history on each place that we say. I will mention that we went to the "Mother Temple" the "Floating Temple" the Elephant Caves, the volcanoe and the lake as well as a third temple which was gorgeous but a bitch to get to cause it had a million stairs. All you need to do to access this is click on Bloggers and enter her user name: katrinaferrari.

Love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you send me one as a belated bday present?
Can you please send me a monkey as a belated birthday present? I have a neighbor who walks around with a parrot, and I want to out do him with my own monkey. I would name him Mr. Smooches and teach him to go up and give people a big kiss on the face. haha, I am laughing out loud in my office like a crazy person.
