NOW the Aran Islands….. these are the Island’s just off the south west coast of Ireland. They really well known for their wool sweaters, blankets, hats, and well anything made out of wool. I had intended on purchasing a blanket or sweater or hat or sock even, but again, economics people… economics. We had to take another ferry, but this time the waters were super rough. Almost everybody was making their way to the top deck for some fresh air. Alicia, Kiley and I thought it was more like an exciting roller coaster that lasted for 45 minutes. I don’t think that thought was shared by many.

At the Aran Island we rented bikes (Central rented bikes for us) and we were given maps and a spot to meet Tecwyn at. Being that our map was pretty vague, we generally knew the way to our meeting spot, and we had bikes, we decided to just take off. Grand plan that spells out L-O-S-T. I like to think of it as not being lost so much as making up new routes. We had so much fun just riding around on the off-road paths. We stopped at an old light house (tallest

point of the island) to take, of course, pictures! From there we saw our next pit stop - cliffs that were being bombarded by waves. So off we rode through the maze of fields and stone walls covering the island. At the cliff we ditched the bikes and hopped from rock to rock out to our destination. There we took pictures, we had them timed so that once the picture was take you had to run away so as not to get soaked. We are little daredevils with cameras… watch out! Finally we decided we should meet up with Tecwyn as it is taking us quite a long time to cover not that far of a distance. Tecwyn was happy to see us and even more happy to get in on some group photos. (I’ll be sure to put of few of them up, so you can see what a great guy we have letting us run around on these trips.)

After all this, we had to head back. Our ferry back was much less interesting. Wiped out from the weather (rain/wind) and our adventures we all crashed into bed. The next day was spent on traveling back to
