playing bowls
i didnt win thow :-(hello people. how are you? great i hope! iv been a busy bee recently! having great fun. let me know whats been going down at home and stufffs!
So i went to the cattle station, and what a laugh that was. we got there about 4.30ish and just chilled about for abit. the place was pretty cool, just a farm with cabins wer we slept. the place was full of spiders and bugs but im hard and got over it! tea was at 6pm, but before that we had a 'snack' a farm man brought out this pot full of bones and meat and gravy stuff, and wudnt tell us what it was, so i just ate it neway! it turnd out to be goat! whoops.lol. but it was really nice! i went back for 2nds, 3rds and 4ths(you know me, a fatty! ha) then we had a sunday roast, it was beautiful! proper roast beef and gravy. Was lush! we playd afew games after tea, learnt how to crack the whip! haha was hard and i hit myself in the head afew times! played more games, like trying to pick a cardboard box off the floor with your teeth

12 bucks, go me! and no hands! was funny. went to be about 10ish as we had to be up at like 5 in the morning to hurd the goats! well that was fun, we had a task, wer we had to catch a goat asif we wer going to brand it and stuff. So me and my mate Emma went as a team and had to catch it, we chose a small goat as we had to lift it up and stuff, but then we realised when it was too late that the small goats are the fastest! i bet it was funny to wach! we finally caught it and came 3rd in the competition, not too bad! after that went horse riding! was class. had to hurd the goats into a different field. rode for about an hour and half. had bum ache the next few days! we just stayd one night at the farm place, we set off for rainbow beach about 10.30am...
Arrived at Rainbow, not much there, jsut 3 hostels a beach, few cafes and a supermarket baisically. I liked it here thow. This is where i did my Frasre island trip from. Fraser island is the worlds
biggest sand island. We got stuck in the sand before wed even got onto the main island, lol! we got stuck a few times after than too! was good, so...Fraser island..Baisically you just drive around in a 4 wheel drive and camp out for a couple of nights. it was awsome. got a really good group of people. just got drunk most of the time, drinking goon(REALLY cheap wine) in Lake Mckenzie(a big fresh water lake) was awsome! we camped out the 1st night and had abit of a party going on around our tents, people flocked from evrywer! we are the party people! lol. was really fun. cooked burgers and stuff for tea. yummy! we got up at 7ish to head for the shipwreck on the beach. The beach was the road, wich was pretty cool, just driving next to the sea, we could only drive for certain times cos of the tide, so had to set off at the right time and stuff in order to get wer we needed to be.We got to wer we was going, hung out for abit then drove to set up camp mid afternoon, the weather was shit so me and someothers
just sat in the tent drinking goon all day, as you can imagin got abit drunk and messy! as per usual! was a good day! got up and packed stuff away, made our way back to the ferry teminal to be took back to land. we got back and sorted all the car and camp gear out. the guy we rented the car from tryd to rip us off saying we had damaged the car, when we hadnt, we didnt take any of it and put him straight! after evrything was sorted, we drank the ramains of the goon at the hostel.lol. we ended up on the beach ahvng a party! was great.
The next day i left the gang and headed onto Noosa, where i did my Canoeing the everglades trip. well after days of been active and doing stuff, getting up early ect, the last thing i wanted to do was canoe! lol. but i did it. had an alright group, 3 germans and a couple, one french and one finish they wer lovely. the germans wer rude as! they could speak perfect english but just spoke amongs themselfs in german all the time. so i just
ignored them! knobs! lol. The canoing was tought. had to do 1 n a half hours just 2 get to camp. then set evrything up, there wasnt much to do when we wer there either.We lit a camp fire and just chilled out. got up the next day and canoed to this other site where you could do a walk from, i choose not to walk and just sunbathed all morning! hehe. we canoed back, and to my suprise, the new campers were all my mates from Fraser island, i was well chuffed! had a great night just chatting and playing card games. set off early in the morning to get back to the big boat. canoing back was easier as we had the current on our side. the river was so peacful, like a mirror reflection. I was glad to be back at the hostel! didnt do much the rest of the night. was so sleepy! next day went to Australia zoo. that was wicked. saw loads of crazy things, fed the elephants. was a good day out. got back had a dominos pizza for tea! met up with the frasre gang again, had a few beers and caucght
we got stuck
before we even got on the island lol.! some zzzzz!
The next day i was suppose to be going straight to surfers paradise, but got my arm twisted into going to Brisbane with my Frasers chums! the couple from the everglades trip said they would give me a lift to surfers in the morning for free so that was nice of them! went out on the night, was a good night then i started to feel shit about stuff so baild off to bed! boo! but was still good to spend time with my mateys! so got the lift in the morning to Surfers. was abit of faffing about as they wer renting a car and had to pick it up ect but it got me there so i was happy!
surfers was awsome. went out on a backpacker bus thing with an american girl from my room. was a class night, really enjoyd it! i only stayd in surfers one night, i wish i had time to stay longer but finances wouldnt let me! :-(
I caught my bus to Byron Bay at 10am. got to Byron mid afternoon i think! i stayed at a hostel called the arts factory, i loved it! was

lake mckenzie so kool. really chilled out and hippy ish! was right up my street! Lois you would have loved it there! i walkd into my room and this Canadian guy was just sat playing guitar so i sat and gave him songs to sing for me. lol. was nice. went to bed early on the night and got up early for the Sunrise at the lighthouse. it was veautiful. Went with 2 spanish guys from my room. got back and went back to bed! lol. when i got up for the second time i went shopping with 3 girls from Liverpool and went to the beach. Just stayd round the hostel on the night was a ncie place to stay. Went to a place called Nimbin the next day. was so funny! just loads of crazy people high on weed walking about selling cookies. lol. was halarious! i loved it. You wouldnt think that places like that exist in real life. we went to this crazy hippie guys house who planted his own forest, it was abit amazing really. He had a few lakes, and he jumped in naked wich was really awful to see, but funny. took a walk around
the beach
is the road. and ate some nuts lol. Had to walk threw some sinking mud, was halarious! felt so weird on my feet! we got back on the bus and drove back to art factroy. there was a talant show on that night. It was really good. people who was working and staying at the hostel playd music and stuff. was really good night. got drunk AGAIN!(so bad). made me wish i was good at something!
Woke up and got on the bus again, for more driving! Yornn! we headed to surf camp! was funky stuff. got there at 12.30 ish and had a surf leson at 1. what a laugh. i cant surf to save my life! i really tryd thow! we wer getting taught what to do, and a storm came, with hale stones and wind was awful! we wer on the beach pretending to surf on the sand! it wasnt pleasant! but as soon as we got in the water it was fine, was really warm. i tryd so many times to stand up, i amnaged to do it once! that was good enogu for me. after a couple of hours i gave up and had a well deserved
shower! wached movies on the night time and had a camp fire. was a nice night. was only here for one night too.
I got to Sidney. Checked in, was in a room with the people from my bus so that was good. stayed in WakeUp hostel, was quite nice. went for free food and drink at a place called the Gaff on the night as a gift from the oz bus thing. was cool. in the morning got up and took a wonder about. bought myself a $6 jacket! big spender i am! lol. went to the harbour bridge and the opera house with pat and anna. I like sidney but its not what i expected. only had a couple of days there this time as im gonig back at christmas.
7Am and i got the to bus office to begin my 3 day trip to melbourne. people on my bus wer ace. loved them all!Stopped at the house of parliment in Cambra(however u spell it) was boring but interesting i guess! the woman giving the tour arond went into far much detail and even told us wer the knifes and forks wer kept, haha!. after a
long day driving got to wer we wer sleeping. it was a Ski resort in the mountains. it was really quiet as its not ski seson, had the whole place to ourselfs, including the hot tub! was mint! i could get use to the luxery! in the moring we had pankakces for brecky! Headed to the ski lift at 9am to start our walk to the top of the highest mountain in oz,Mount Kosciuszko. I didnt think id make it, but i did, all the way to the top!, we all did! there was abit of snow left on the mountains, abit weird been in the snow but been warm at the same time. It was a 13k walk all round, so was tired afterwards. most excersize id done in a long time! felt good afterwards thow! got back to the ski resort, ate fresh beef sandwiches and drove to our next destination. it was a small town(cant rememebr name :-() we wer suppose to stay in a hostel, but a few of us decided to camp on the beach! i loved it. got a fired going, got the tent up, some music on. was sorted! woke up at 5am
my fishermen mates
gave a me a beer, and some fresh fish. woohoww! to the windynes, was a laugh putting the tent down when it was so windy! got back to meet the others at the hostel and sent off for Melbourne.
Arrived in Melbouren and got dropped off at my mate Ashlings house who i met in Cairns. she got her own flat sharing with a korean girl and japanese guy. its a nice flat. i kipped on her floor for a couple of nights then moved into a hostel. I got myself a temping job. just dental nursing, been good so far, only worked 3 days but i like it. the surgerys are alot nicer than at home, but the hours are shit! 7.30 am till 5pm with 30min lunch, i dont like that! lol. too much like hard work for me! haha. but yeah pretty much it really. I love melbourne and could see myself living here. like it better then sidney. David youd like it here too i reckon. its funky! I went to an Ireland V Australia ozzy rulse game lastnigth at the cricket ground. Ireland won, was a good game good atmosphere, went to an irish bar afterwards and danced abit! been shopping today and got

what a mess!!!! myself a cheap dress and hat for the Melbourne Cup(like a big horse race thing) on Tuesday, cant wait for that! im really short on money at the min, cant wait to get paid!! well ill be off, sorry for such a long post, i dont expect you to read it all! lol. itl be good for me to look back on when i get home! heee.

Hi Linz, looks like you are still having loads of fun! I'm now officially 40...it's my birthday today and i feel very old. Went out with some friends from Leven last night. Had an ace time and got well and truly plastered!! Don't feel too good today. God knows how you do it so regularly, I guess it's proof I'm a lot older than you!! Keep having the time of your life and stay in touch. We all miss you at work, take care, Ingrid xx
