We travelled to Xian on an overnight train from Beijing. The main attraction here was the terracotta warriors. It was well worth the visit as the site is truly impressive and the histroy behind it's creation fascinating.

Then on to lovely Pingyao, where the Chinese draft banking system originated. The walls surrounding the old centre and its buildings date back to its foundations in 1370. The old town has great character which we soaked up by cycling around during the day, exploring the courtyards and alleyways.

This marked the end of our adventures in China. It's been a wonderful experience and one through which we have met some fabulous people.
