Despite being upgraded to business class - the jet lag still hit us really hard. We managed to go into Soho and get a nice Thai meal, but by the time we finished the meal our heads were nearly on the table. We walked back to the hotel and were planning on watching the National Day fireworks from our bedroom window - we couldn't actually see them but they sounded spectacular and went on for ages!!

We slept really well despite waking at about 3 in the morning. We finally got up around 9. We decided to go the Kowloon with John and Lucy today. We got the MTR train over to Kowloon which is across the water - the trains here are amazing and so efficent (I think we waited for 30 secs for one). We have been amazed at how Western Hong Kong is - you could almost be in London if it was about 20C colder!! Kowloon is a bit more like what I imaged HK to be like - once you venture past the posh hotels on the Waterfront.
We wandered around Kowloon for most of the day - we bought a camera in a shopping

Mall that was like an upmarket version of Bluewater.
In the evening we went into Soho again - we ended up having an Italian and for some reason they brought the main courses with the starters - we argued over the bill and got the mains for free as they were cold by the time we got to eat them. After that we went to the Hotel Bar on the top floor and had a couple of cocktails.

We are not sure what to do today as there is a storm warning in place which may mess our plans up a bit. I will update this later - hopefully with some shots from our new camera.
