Hello, i know this is very late as i left Cambodia a week ago but have not been able to get reliable internet anywhere. I am also sorry for the lack of imaginative titles, but i cant think of any!!
Spent the last four days in Cambodia in the South at the beach town of Sihanoukville, unfortunately due to some very dodgy dairy lee triangles i had a stomach bug so didnt see much of the twon as couldnt venture more than 10ft from the toilet!! However, what i did see of the beach was very nice. We stayed on Serendipity (I sm sure you will correct my spelling here mum!!) which is one of the busiest beaches, so there was a lot of 'you want massage' going on! I finally gave in and had a massage on the beach, 2dollars for an hour and it was brilliant, the only downside was the sunburn as it was midday and she was covering me in oil!! I got so burnt i was purple for two days!! Life here seems far more laid back than in the rest of the country, they are trying to sell you things all the time but they

Boat had come ashore as the sea was so rough on the last day, took about 40 people to push it back out!
are less forceful about it! In fact one little girl actually made me a bracelet for free because she said she was bored! In return i decided to buy her a can of fanta which she was absolutely made up about, although afterwards i realised she had no teeth left so a sugary drink was probably the worse thing to have bought her!!

We had decided to do the southern border crossing into Vietnam, although it was a bit more expensive to get there we really didnt want to go back to Phnom Penh. It took four hours to get to the border along an extremely bumpy road (well dirt track really) and i dont think from the reaction of the locals that many tourists go this way. Our driver stopped at a small village to buy a drink and on spotting me the shop owner got her whole family out to look at me!! Including a young girl who clearly was very unimpressed at having to stop playing and come a stare at the white girl!! The countryside on the way there was stunning and i have decided that this is somewhere i would definately love to come back to, to explore when i am either by myself or with someone slightly more adventurous than Joel!! We crossed the border at Phnom Den in the Chou Doc region. We were prepared to pay extra as we had heard so many tails of people being scammed for extra money, however, instead we were given fruit from the office of the Cambodian official as a leaving present from Cambodia!! Once we had left the Cambodian side it was a short walk and a quik health inspection and we were in Vietnam, completely hassle free with some bonus bananas and lychees!!
