Day 38 Bus journey for 12 hours through the night was alright, got to spread out as it wasnt busy. Arrived in Sydney at 11 am. Made our way back to Bondi beach house YHA. Take a wander along the beach do some shopping and have an early night.
Day 39 Off to manly get the ferry from circular quay. Really nice area, beach is lovely and lots of little shops and cafes around. Sit on the beach and read our books for a while, have our sandwiches - although a seagull stole one out of jens hand. Head for Palm Beach where Home and Away's beach scene's are filmed. 2 buses and 1 and a half hours later we arrive. Nothing spectacular, pretty beach that's all. Its a residential area too so no where to sit have a drink so we head straight back.
Day 40 Went to Darling Harbour for a wander around as the sun was shining. At night we went to a local Bondi pub had some cheap wine and good banter.
Day 41 Another walk along Bondi then spend the rest of the day playing trivial pursuit and australia monopoly at the hostel.

Boni Day 42 Day trip to the Blue Mountains. So called due to the mist coming off the eucalyptus trees creating a blue mist around the moutains. Up at 5.30 am to get picked up in the city. First stop is the Olympic stadium where they held the 2000 olympic games. Take some pictures then onwards to the village of leura for a wander about. At the blue mountains in Katoomba we ride the skyway cable car across the valley infront of the Katoomba Falls, we then descend down the worlds steepest scenic incline railway at 52 degrees to the canyon. We do the boardwalk through the rainforest, it a roasting hot day so talk our time. We retun by the flyway cable car having seen the 3 sister and orphan rocks. We stop at Cahill's lookout for more fantastic views. We learn the aborignal story of the 3 sisters and listen to the digeridoo. After lunch we go to Featherdale wildlife park where we can feed the wallabies and kangaroo's and pet the koala's - lots of fun! We also get to pet a joey and see albino kangaroo's and an albino peacock. The tour finishes with a scenic
cruise along the parramatta river to sydney harbour, crossing beneath the harbour bridge at sunset.
Day 43 Check out early out our bags in storage. go down to watch the Festival of Wind - lotsa kites. Chill out on the grass at Bondi watching the world go by... Back to hostel read some more (we are both average a book every 4 days, sad). Head to Central for another bus journey. This bus trip not as nice as the last one, 8 hours no sleep as lots of people and noise. Och well!
