Koh Tao part 1 12/09/08 to 14/09/08

After a 3hr taxi (train still not working, oh well!)we arrived at the catarmaran pier in Chumpon, took us about 2hours in rough seas (Matt was sick) to get to Koh Tao. This is what we'd been searching for, Paradise at last! Can't even begin to explain how gorgeous this island is, jackpot! We got on the back of a songathew (open back 4x4) to take us to our new home, and what a home it is. We couldn't believe our luck as we were walked down this path surrounded by lush vegatation and palm trees. We were shown to our 700bt (10 pound) per night beach hut with swimming pool right on a white sand beach. We both instantly fell in love with our new home and started to enjoy the Thai way of life. 1st nigfht we went to get something to eat and drink whilst watching the Dark Knight (again!). After several drinks and ridiculously large sambucas in an Oz run Bar called choppers we fell completeley by accident on an amazing beach bar. There were people sprawled across it chilling out listeneing to tunes and watching the most amazing fire dancers. Going to stay here for a while and do some snorkling as they have amazing corals, going to hire a moped today so we can go and discover the rest of the islands beauty. Pics so far....
