Just thought I'd give a quick mention for the best bar and restaurant in town. And its not just because I'm working with them, it really is the best in town, thats why we went there every wednesday and saturday for dinner and beers while still at the orphanage.

It does the best food, including an extensive sandwich range done on home baked bread which is famous throughout the town and ordered daily by other locals and eateries. They also offer some dinner specials such as home made lasagne (vegetarian but amazingly good), stir-frys, currys, soups and salads. The specials usually change eveyday, but every dish is great so you'll never be disapointed.

They also have the best music, nice change from Reggaeton and Bachata, which are usually blasting out of the bars around here. On top of that they also offer the best service, always willing to give travel advice, tips on where to stay or not to stay, always up for a bit of craic and a good party, and of course, friendly service with a smile. There is also a library section where you can swap books or just grab one for a read and chill out on the sofa. It's also full of travel guide books just in case your lost.

It's run by two Dutch friends, called Babette and Jurian, although Babette is soon to fly off after four years in Rio Dulce, in search of broader horizons. Juri will be staying there though so never fear, Sundog Café is sticking round for a good while longer. So if your in town make sure to visit, and be sure to let them know where you heard about the best kept secret in Rio Dulce ;o)

Sorry about the lack of pics, it really is a lovely bar with a great atmosphere.

It was ok
Worries me a little when a bakery / deli doesn't have white bread that is on the menu. The sandwich was not bad. Decent portion but wouldn't go far out of my way tho..... The Staff was very nice tho.
