It was the first day of school today. Woke up to a beautiful cloudy sky, and as we began our journey to school the sun was peaking through. It feels so nice to walk to school wrapped in a scarf and a jacket with your little lover next to you, its probably quite pathetic watching Mitch and I just roll down the road to school, two fat little balls of joy. The classes were so different than what I was/am used to as it was classes no bigger than five. Both of my English classes were tiny, two and three people. Mitch’s were a little bigger at 4 and 5. Such a different emphasis on teaching because the teachers stress interpretation, discussion, and expression over book reading and busy work. My English teacher is the same for both classes and he is just brilliant. His genius just seems to radiate from behind his rimmed glasses and it makes me want to read every book that those dwarfs under the cobblestone streets of Oxford can find. It is strange to be in the presence of such a master of the English language…I mean I guess I should be used to it with my genius mother and all but… just feel extremely inspired, and I want to curl up on a bench in the park and write a novel…just get lost in the flowers, brooks, and trees of Oxfordshire. Mitch and I actually have 2 out of the 5 classes together which are marketing in the European Union and Business Ethics. We have a charming teacher from Croatia with a big smile and a soft voice who seems to love what he does. We got caught in the rain on the way back from school and Mitch whipped out his umbrella on the bike. I was not quite so coordinated and got soaked. I didn’t care though because Mitch looked hilarious, almost like one of those little Asian women with their umbrellas except on a go kart or something. It was great. It should be a great semester as we are going to get lost in learning..maybe not in the books sense, but definitely in the culture. We are planning in drowning ourselves in the cultures of our foreign friends and weekend trips…there are no boundaries or prejudices, you only really get a chance like this once in a lifetime, and it is here, and we are so very ready.

Sounds like you are having an amazing time!!! But let's be honest, I would expect nothing less. The pics are beautiful and reminds me of my trip to rainy London town. It looks like you are starting to pick up on some England slang -"brilliant". Love it!!!!
