Hola! I made it to Costa Rica! And wow it has been an adventure! Everything has been great so far! I´m most definitely loving it! My host family has been awesome although they speak NO English! And my Spanish is definitely improving and my family told me that I´m speaking so much better than friday! My host family is very huge and last night (Saturday) it was my host grandma´s 71st birthday so we had a big birthday party with a piñata, birthday cake, and lots of food! It was so much fun and they were really nice! There was probably 25 people there because my host family all lives right next to each other! They all speak slowly to me and help me with spanish so its working out great! Also on Saturday during the day, my host family took me to the mall and we spent the afternoon there! It was a lot of fun! They even had Subway, Taco Bell, Quiznos, TCBY (yay!!), and Pizza Hut there!! Otherwise, everything was in Spanish! Today (sunday), we went to the pool which is in this park in the mountains! And then we came here to the internet cafe, and after some trouble with Skype and the computer being in Spanish it worked out alright. The food so far has been great! Very tastey! My host mom prepares breakfast for me and the coffee is amazing. For lunch we usually go somewhere and for dinner on Friday we went to the restaurant owned by my host mom´s brother. It was really good! They have plently of ice cream here and I´ve already had it twice! So don´t worry everyone who knows that I love my ice cream!! Overall everything has been great so far and I love it! I will definitely write more later and tell of my travels but for now it´s almost dinner time so I have to catch a taxi and get home for dinner! I start school tomorrow so that will be interesting! Hope everyone in the "states" has a great Labor Day!! Adios Amigos!! <3Courtney
