As i prepare to embark on what will be a life changing experience my mind begins to go into overdrive. After a long year of planning why all of a sudden do i have an element of doubt running through my veins??? Prior to Sri Lanka in 06 i simply packed up and crashed on, okay so this time it's a little longer but still Dave.

The opportunity to do this may never arise again, see travelling to me represents an amazing chance to drive right into cultures and societies that are worlds apart from my life in Britain. To travel is to learn, awaken the senses and broaden your horizons.


As the day of departure is getting closer and closer I thought it would be a good time to get familiarised with TravelBlog. I hope that whilst I potter around the world this would be an ideal place for friends, family, and strangers to find out about what I’m getting up to. I hope you enjoy the updates as and when they arrive.

Dude, seems like a long time since we departed the shores for a bit of travel across Malaysia and Pad Thailand but just a quick message to say hope your travels are "same same but different" and we will see you on some remote beach early May 09 for some scuba steve fun and burnt skin drunkeness and maybe even another 3 litres of shakes but without the bed cover under the shower and dancing to generators. Live it up and remember as the sand slips through your fingers and waves lap at your feet your still the Garwood we all love and be yourself Peace and Tings Braaaaap i can here the sirens comin! love ya bro
