Tonight, I will start my 2-week journey to various places in Canada and USA. The first stop of my trip would be Edmonton, where I will spend 2 days. Then I will go to Calgary and spend one day. From Calgary, I'll be flying to Las Vegas. After spending 2 days in LV, I will travel around USA Southwest and California, before visiting my father's friend, Uncle Danny, in San Francisco (my last stop). I will fly back from San Francisco to Vancouver on 3rd January. Then, finally, I will fly back to Singapore on 5th January.
Yesterday, I moved all my luggage to the house of my father's friend, Mrs Poon. At night, I came back to UBC to spend my very last night in Gage Residence... My room looks very empty now, since all the luggage was moved away yesterday. This morning, when I was walking to Fairview Residence to return something to my friend, I saw frost everywhere. Almost everything was covered in a white layer. (The water vapour in the air condensed onto a surface and freezed to form frost.) The sight was very pretty, but it was very very cold... (Unfortunately, I left my camera with my luggage, so I didn't have a chance to take a photo. I also left my gloves with my luggage, so I had nothing to cover my hands. After a few minutes outdoor, my hands became numb.)
Today I will spend my last working day in the lab, followed by a Dim Sum lunch with the people in my research group. (This is probably the last meal I'm having with them.) In the afternoon, I will go back to Mrs Poon's house to pick up my luggage for my trip. Then, in the evening, I will be leaving Vancouver on a Greyhound bus to Edmonton... From then on, I will be on my own, until I meet my father's friend Uncle Danny in San Francisco on New Year Eve. I'm praying everything will turn out fine for my trip...
