Day 3 - Coimbatore

I woke up at 3:00AM was really hungry. Thanks for Indu's mom for packing us the food. Feasted on the Biriyani and fish early in the morning.

After 8 hrs of train ride we reached Yoda's home town Coimbatore. Rest of gang was tired since they had a rough sleepless night in train. My dad (Sr. Yoda) was waiting with garlands at the train station to receive us. Everyone was so happy to be garlanded and welcomed. We boarded our van (our vehicle of choice was a air conditioned Tempo traveler with the driver named Balu) and headed out to my home.

We were welcomed by my sister, uncle nephew and grandpa. After shower and a nap we had wonderful breakfast of Idly, Dosa, Mutton curry, Lolly pop chicken and chicken fry.

After the meal the girls wanted to head out for Mehendi and facial. They left the house by 1:00PM. My dad took Dan and John for some T-shirt shopping. We had take out lunch from Ananda's and relaxed in the afternoon.

In the evening the guys decided to head out to the bar since girls were still at the beauty saloon. We went to Annapoorna hotel had some Foster beer. Dan was hungry and headed upstairs for some Idly, vada and Sambar. Finally the girls came back home at 10:30PM with wonderful designs of Mehendi on the feet and hand.

The day came to a close after some browsing and chatting.

Hi Pradeep, Thanks for the comment. My name is Ramesh and I was born and brought up in Coimbatore. I did my first year of my college in Pollachi, Kumaraguru college had their campus in NPT. I moved to the US in 97. Me and my friends from the States did this tour and in-fact we did visit Pollachi and Topslip.
