Greetings from Fairbanks:
With all that went wrong before, everything has gone right so far. We have had a day of history and walking around Fairbanks. Shirley is doing well with the arm and Mike and I almost got to play golf. The weather has been about 70, but about 7:30 each evening it has rained and the temps have fallen.
The flight here went very well, except for the fact that we were on planes for 8 hours. We left home at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday and arrived here at 9 p.m. EST. (5 pm Alaskan time) So as I type it is 10 p.m. here and 2 a.m. at home. We leave for Denali Park in the morning and are hoping for a site of Mt. McKinley. The trip from here on should get more specatular, scenery wise. As you can read by one of the comments, my cousin Jim has been here and his son worked in Skagway. (Jim that is one of our stops, so what should we do there, besides go to the Red Dog Saloon (or whatever the name is 😊 )
I'm going to try to get a couple pictures included. I saved them, but they went to this computer instead of the disc, so we'll see. But at least we are "up and blogging" 😊
Take care everyone and God bless...
Bill (for the entire group)
PS Well pictures are in the Princess Lodge computer and I can't get them to the disc, so maybe at the next stop. 😉
