I am sure most of you have heard about the traffic in Vietnam. Hundreds of buses, trucks, cars, motorbikes and bicycles all converge on an intersection and without stop lights they all manage to go through.I

I have biked before in Vietnam and I know it can be dangerous. So far I have seen three acidents, two with motorbikes and one with a bicycle. I don't know how serious or how bad anyone was hurt because I did not see the people. But the two motorbikes had their front wheels knocked off and gas was coming out of the tank. The bicycle accdent involved a car that just drove off.

I have done real good in the city where the driving is intense. It is in the countryside that I have already had to non-injury accidents. One, I was driving around and in this small rural village and was gawking around and run the bicycle off the brick sidewalk and it immediantly sunk in about a food and stopped and I went over the handlebars.

Another, was in the countryside and I wasn't paying much attention and a truck suddenly appeared and I went down this bank. When the bicycle hit the bottom it stopped and I went over the handle bars.

I think I will be alright on this trip but I have had so much opposition from my friends back home and my two daughters Trang and Ngat that they all have frayed my nerves. I am getting psyched out.

I will wear a helmit.

You make me laugh!
Kent, you are so funny. But I worry about you, too. I don't mean to psyche you out, either. Be safe!! Have you seen the newsletter? I just posted it today. Hugs, Geri

Hello from California
This blog site is great -- never have used one before. Hope you get this message for a Merry Christmas. Are you biking with Trang's father or brother? Surely you are not going this alone? You certainly have my awe, admiration and prayers for a wonderful experience!!!! Keep safe. Your cousin, Betty

Come home
I think you need to come on home before you get seriously injured. We need a husband, dad and grandpa here.
