Today we took a bus tour West of Limerick to Bunratty Castle and then on to The Cliffs of Moher.

The Castle was built in 1425. It was restored in the 50's and 60's and contains many period tapestries and furniture. Some of the tables and chairs are 600-800 years old.

The Cliffs of Moher are easily one of the most impressive natural sights that I have ever seen. The pictures don't really do them justice because it's hard to determine the scale. They run up the west coast for about 7 or 8 miles and rise over 700' out of the ocean in spots.

Driving is a bit easier today, the GPS has really been helpful, especially at the 'Roundabouts' (of which there are hundreds), because it tells you which exit to take before you enter the roundabout.

They call this the "Murder Hole", it is above the main entry and they used it to pour boiling water or stones down on intruders.
