taken in Albrook mall in Panama City, Panama Well it's the 21st of July 2008. I'm still here in 3rd. world country Costa Rica, this place is really getting to me. The people here have no class whatsoever: and as far as work.......every job I've had has been a scam. I've been in an online pharmacy working, where nobody ever got the drugs they ordered(that's really big here in Costa Rica) employed in a sportsbook......americans love to bet on sports and "lose". But the biggest scam I worked was a "sweepstakes scam" to american and canadian citizens, boy did they get "ripped off". This place is a "shit hole" i'm tired watching overweight, overage tourists walking around in "Bob Marley" tee-shirts as does everyone else here! The only blessing I've gotten were my wife and my 10 month old daughter. Panama and Colombia are starting to look better each day. Can anyone help me get some decent employment here in Costa Rica???? My e-mail is martinez@safe-mail.net I'm going out of my mind here!!!

First of all Costa Rica is not a 3rd world country. Maybe you should head to one of those to see what 3rd world is really like. It is a beautiful country with beautiful people so I am not sure what you are seeing or experiencing. Have you ever traveled internationaly before this? Yes, there is corruption but that is pretty common in other countries particularly latin american countries. We have the same in the US it is just more hidden. Sorry that you can't get a good job but it is for good reason. The country protects their own. Good jobs are going to go to Costa Rican citizens. This is why they make it difficult to work there. It is not different than someone from Mexico trying to get a job in the US. Sounds like you need to live in another location rather than bash this one. I dream of being able to live in Costa Rica but I don't do so because I know I can't make a living there. Maybe when I reach retirement.
