Packing the car
All our gear before we loaded the car up Well the time is almost upon us. After almost 6 months of planning and saving, we are finally about to take the final step and leave good old Blighty and travel the pleasant 11,000 miles to New Zealand. It is now only a matter of hours before we are going to be running for our gate in Heathrow's busy Terminal 1, eager to get comfortable on our Air New Zealand flight that will last approximately 27 hours (BLOODY HELL!!).
But you will hear all about the flight the next time we update this blog, for now I will just let you know that we had a very uneventful drive up from Devon to my fathers house in Horsham, apart from the airshow and the APC tank thing that convinced Elliott we were at war. The journey up took a little over 3 and a half hours and it was extremely warm in the car, but what made that worse is that there was a massive dark cloud teasing us in the distance, but no matter how quickly I drove it wouldn't get any bloody closer.
After a good night sleep we commenced with the final preparations, which consisted of
me getting hold of a sleeping bag and a journal of some sort to make detailed notes of the trip while we were away (its all for you benefit people trust me, because I don't want to forget anything while updating this blog :-P)
Elliott says hi to you all, he will most likely be doing the next entry when we finally arrive in Auckland and check into our 4 STAR HOTEL MWHAHAHA.
Well thats it for our/my first entry we promise to update it where ever possible and fill it with photos and hopefully maps of places we are or have been or going to be. This is Jason saying goodbye to you all and we'll see you on the flip side (otherside of the world)

WeyHey
So your off! Your travels have only just begun. Your journals are just waiting for the blank pages to be filled. Keep your pen nibs at the ready and remember all the little details as well as the big ones. May every day be an adventure. xxx
