Before we set off everybody told us it would be a good idea to get them DVD players, they’ll get bored; well we didn’t, thinking we can always buy them if we need to. Well absolutely no need, the kids have been fantastic. They love the car, they each have a CD player and headphones to play stories and music, they talk to each other, they fight about who has the better view, they role play out Sporticus, lion king or fireman adventures, chat with us, they ask questions, they notice things out of their windows that with their child like imagination bring a little extra magic to our journey.

Last night Asha saw a cross on the Umbrian Hills all lit up, she said mummy, look, you see that cross, there is buried treasure up there, and Jay always adds with a little gasp “it’s amazing”

Wish we were there too...
Good thing I'm not in an open plan office. I've just caught up on the whole trip in one sitting, and there are tears streaming down my face. Of joy. Reminds me of all the amazing (but penniless) trips we had to the same destination with Westwind, but how I'd love to do them all again with the children (and wife!), spending even longer sponging off Karl in Darmstadt. Just can't wait to see you all in Mickey Rips or Vangeli's on the 7th.

Do you need a new memory card?
I suppose you must have filled up your memory cards already as there's no more pics of your trip! I'm sure you can buy them - even in Italy:-) Sounds like you're all having a great time - and we're enjoying following it. We've been underwater here for a while now, but sun's out again at last!
