Certainty

The thing about traveling is that it gives you the change just to lay back and and do the things you want to do through escaping our daily, serious lives. For me and Mathias, my friend that will be joining me, it means no more cost accounting (me) or making complex engineering designs of apartment blocks(Mathias). But is it just that, running away from life?

Well, for some people it actually means leaving the very lives they chose to live. Relaxing at the poolside, sipping a Mai-Tai from a coconut through a bent straw while the umbrella won't stay in its place or walking down the pearl white beaches with their feet in the ocean blue, refreshing water whilst checking the "surroundings" for a place, if there is any left, to drop their towels... This drives my completely insane and over the edge!

I look at vacation and travel a little bit different! When I went on vacation with my parents, we just went where the road took us. I couldn't quite understand what kind of power it held. Now, when I'm planning my vacation, I try to think: "How would they plan to do it?" And then it hits me: "They didn't plan, they DID!"
It has to be a completion of my live, not an abrupt end or an escape of my life. I crave the unknown and where the Chakra flow of life will take me. It has to be a bit adventurous. So I plan to not sit still and move around a lot.

The only certainty I have this summer is our departure and our return. Flights are booked for 7 September 2008(departure) and 24 September 2008(return) and we start our wanderings in Porto and will be returning from Faro

And everything in between will reveal itself when the time has come to experience the moment at hand.
