Hey All,

Hopefully you are all ahead of me with regard to packing! I have had the opportunity to travel rather extensively in Europe while in college, and Ms. Herder has traveled extensively as well. With that in mind, I just want to back Ms. Herder up in extolling the virtues of the money belt. It may seem like more trouble than it is worth, and awkward to wear at first, but it is an essential article to have!

Here is what Rick Steves has to say on his packing guide... "Money belt. It's essential for the peace of mind it brings. You could lose everything except your money belt, and the trip could still go on. Lightweight and low-profile beige is best."

The bottom line here is to just buck up, be responsible, and wear one!

Speaking of Rick Steves, he has an awesome web site with tons of information. Check out the "graffiti wall' message boards to see what travelers have to say about different facets of traveling in Europe. There are also suggested packing guides and ideas on etiquette.

Here are links to Rick Steves web site and one directly to the Graffiti Wall.

Have a great day! We're getting close now!

Nice comment on the money belt! I think we should have a contest for who can bling out their money belt the best! I'm in! Ms. Herder/Heidi
