Wedding bus
Winding down before going on our big trip around Europe, I thought I better catch up on what we have been doing this last month. Time has flown and we have had heaps of fun I caught up with Jemma and Amy two friends I studied with back home. We went out on a girl’s day/night it was great Jemma lives in a nice area which make the best crepes in London. We saw a wedding bus and had a great dinner and dance that night. (Bit Boozed). We have decided to make our girl’s night/day a monthly ritual.

I had my first star spotting experience when I was walking though Marylebone with the children I look after and I looked up and saw Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster is wife. I was so shocked I almost crashed the push chair into a table of diners.

On June the 13th I got the biggest surprise of my life when Dad came to London to visit. Leah and I were sitting in Leicester sq eating lolly cake when Dad rang me. We were chatting away when dad said “turn around” I did and there he was. Wow!!! It

Yum, yum
was the last thing I expected and I’ll never forget. It was so nice taking Dad around London so he could see where I live and work. Dad got to go back to the place that he worked 30 years ago, it’s still there the same company in the same building. We all got up early and watched the All Blacks play England in a church which has been converted into a pub. That night we went to the Lion King which is one of the best shows that we have seen since we have been here. (We are doing well Leah we’ve been to 7 shows in 4 months).

This weekend we have been to the Royal Ascot Race day what a great day so many people mostly Ozzies and Kiwis all together in the Silver Ring. I was lucky that one of the mothers I have met through my work let me borrow a dress, hat, bag, shoes and a real diamond ring for the day. Dale got right into it and we ended up betting on each race winning a few as the day went on. The last race I choose Honolulu to win and dale choose Distinction they were neck and neck till the last second when Honolulu won Distinction come second. We won 7 pounds. (HAHA) The highlight for me was to see the Queen ride past in her carriage. Now I can say I’ve seen the queen in real life!

Sad to say good bye to Leah (thanks for all your help) we have had lots of fun doing crazy things together and I’m sure when we are all back home we will have a lot to laugh about.
On July the 1st we are flying to Madrid to start our 3 month tour of Europe we can’t wait and will keep the blog up dated.

You look gorgeous at Ascot
I am so pleased you have updated your travel blog before you go to Europe. It was amazing to surprise you with a visit from Dad. I also think you looked gorgeous at Ascot. Another great memory. Mum
