Death. I think death would be easier than being an hun gover right now.

I should really learn to stick with my beer all night, and not give in to the gin and tonic.

Turns out the dude is not Argentinian, but Chilean. A short latin man - dangerous combination. I met more EAS majors from the Mawr and the Ford last night, which was just surreal. Seeing Haverford customs shirts in Beijing, all talking about Huang laoshi.

Got home this morning, woke up a few hours ago. Immediately chugged lots of water and headed out for some food. Went to get some jiaozi in the little hole-in-the-wall on Gongti Beilu. Ignored all the migrant workers talk of the "laowai" sitting among them as I ate two sets of jiaozi.

And then I tried to pay. Apparently, the bar gave me counterfeit money last night, as the whole jiaozi place was up in arms about my bu zhende money, everyone up and comparing my 10's to the real 10's, showing me the miniscule difference. After a while, they basically said it didn't matter, mei guanxi, that they would just pawn my 10 off on someone else.

Beware, Beijingers, you might get bu zhende money at SHOOTERS, where I merely bought two beers.

At any rate, I quickly went and spent the rest of my 10's, no problem. Too damn tired to deal with that any more today.

And on that note, I think this will be a great Sunday to watch a movie.

I must admit, though, that I did the summer equinox justice....

Ah, the Austrian boys were in watching Friends, and a few hours of that was the best thing that could've happened to me in this state today.

In other news, my phone is out of money and I need to remember how to refill it. Chinese phones are strange in that you don't really know that you're out of money until you try to call, and then nothing goes through... and then you wonder how long it's been like that and if anyone has tried to text you and you think that there should really be a better system...

le sigh.

Fun, yes, but I miss having decent conversations. I'm super excited for Arielle and Ben to come, as they're both good for that 😊
