The family....
What we look like now....including Christina whom will not be on our trip but will be with us in spirit.So, it is almost time for the RV to take off from Newburyport. We have officially started counting down the days for the trip as well as writing lists of things to do before we leave. Laundry is being done, piles of life's necessities are being made and shopping trips planned. If you all could see our piles right now you would begin to wonder about this trip. I am bringing my new ice cream maker that I got for Christmas from the boys'...you make it in a ball, can you imagine? Ok, maybe a science teacher would enjoy this more than the average person. Chris has got his rock music books for entertainment and the boys' have been piling up games to play in the RV.
For weeks we've been passing RV's wondering if they are as big, bigger or smaller than the one we are taking and I think in all honesty we just aren't sure. We know that it is a 25' RV. Some have asked if we have practiced driving it yet, ummmm, no. We have talked about where and how we will park it in Newburyport on July 1st. There is not a consensus on that as of yet. We have reserved as many campsites as we can that are drive-thru hoping to alleviate the stress of not hitting a tree, picnic table, etc.
Over the next week Chris and I will wrap up our teaching obligations, visit with family and friends and make last minute planning decisions. It seems unreal that this trip is almost upon us. We have been thinking and planning this trip for a long time and it is about to begin. We hope that you will all keep in touch over the next seven weeks and that you have a restful summer.
