What a view...
Our flight from Santiago to Mendoza was only 30mins, but what a half-hour. You fly straight across the Andes and get the most incredible views of the Mountains. Surprisingly smooth flight, until the landing - which was very bumpy. Must be the cold air running down off the mountains into the valley causing crazy thermals.

Mendoza was chaotic. Traffic lights are very rare and crossing the road is a leap of faith.

We did paragliding, horse trekking and white-water rafting. None of which were as thrilling and as dangerous as crossing the road.

We also did a bicycle wine tour, which was equally thrilling. We were both expecting an easy ride through quiet leafy country backroads. Instead, we were given unstable death-traps on a busy urban artery out of the city. No helmets, no paths, no guide and absolutely no padding in the saddles. Our wine tour quickly turned into a whine tour.
