Today was probably the busiest day yet. It probably didn’t help that I woke up around 4:30 AM and stayed up until 7am. But even if I had a full night’s sleep, it still would have been a grueling day. We began with a church service at Nushfalau. It was the Gypsy Baptist Church where we went yesterday to hand out more food bags. The service was very enthusiastic and crowded - as all the gypsy churches seem to be. I ended up sitting right next to the accordion player (the church’s praise band consisted of the accordion, a violin, and an old roller rink organ), so my left ear is still ringing. :o) After that service we went to a more traditional Romanian Baptist Church - not gypsy. This church was small, but it was still apparent that they loved the Lord and were glad that we could be with them. Then we went straight to another Romanian Baptist Church - very free in the Lord. When we walked in the entire congregation of about 250 people was praying out loud. They are definitely a praying church! At one point several of the men came

over to us and prayed over us and we could all feel the power of the Holy Spirit with us - we were very encouraged. It was amazing to see people praying with power and confidence that the Lord was going to answer their prayers.

So we’ve seen all of these churches, met Romanians and gypsies. We’ve been to villages so poor the women were walking around in sandals - no boots or socks. And we’ve been to churches where people weep as we tell them that it’s a blessing for us to meet them and we love them as our brothers and sisters in Christ. All of these things are touching and I will never forget any of these things, but there is something else that I think has left the most powerful impression in my heart. It is the workers that are always witnessing, encouraging, and building up the people and churches here. It is the Romanian and gypsy workers who, as a team, never stop working until they have no energy to work further. I am continuously amazed at how these people serve the unsaved people around them and each other equally. There have been so

many times that I take for granted the Christians around me. The people that God has placed in my life in order to work together to further His Gospel. These are the people that I need to respect, love, and have unity with in order to get things done. I am humbled every day here by the Christians I have met. They have inspired me to work more, serve more, and love my brothers and sisters in Christ more.

P.S. From Amy: Thanks for your prayers for my sickness. I feel 100% better today! Also thanks to Shannon for sharing her point of view today.

I am Phillip's Aunt in Louisiana. His mom gave me this site to keep up with the trip. I am so glad that he was able to go on the mission trip and see first hand how God has blessed our country and given him the chance to witness of his love for the people of Romania. Keep up the good work. God bless you and your entire group. Linda Smith - Linda S.
