Our first stop in washington was Bainbridge island, which we called our home base for a couple days. We stayed with a friend of blair's parents' from highschool, Don. Being a great host, he had left us some home made spaghetti sauce which we, of course, devoured before heading across the ferry to scope out Leigh's summer accommodations.
After getting her settled (for any who were concerned, her apartment is in a great location, roomy bedroom, and friendly roommates!), we met up with Abbey (childhood friend of blair's), who showed us around the Seattle nightlife. We started at a university bar, Earl's which is known for its overly stiff drinks (and rude russian bartender who will call you names if you ask for extra mixers). From here we took the bus downtown and barhopped (and had traditional seattle shots poured down our throats), until last call.
The next day was a painful one so we headed back to bainbridge island to be lazy and relax all day. When Don returned home, we headed to the island's pub for dinner and some more north-west microbrew!
That night leigh, blair, and nikki did their best to go out, despite still
not feeling too well. We went to pioneer square where we got a stamp which allowed us into 6 different clubs for the night. After one techno club which was fun, but required a little more energy than we had, and another bar which was....... not our scene.... we decided to catch the ferry back to bainbridge and sleep.
Finally feeling human again, the next day was spent being touristy. (refer to pictures).
This brings us to the end! Leigh will start her internship tomorrow with the seattle aquarium, and tomorrow night Blair, Nikki, and Kathy will get on a plane to return to the east coast!

Abbey - chip off the block
Abbey must be adopted - takes us at least FOUR days to get over Don/Ann
