1: Down in the granyon hike 26 secs
After an eventful drive from New Mexico, we finally arrived in Flagstaff, AZ. This is where we were staying to be able to have access to the Grand Canyon (nicknamed: Granyon). Upon arrival we befriended the guy who worked at the front desk of the hostel. Befriended may be a strong word.. he was torn between liking our energy and hating the fact that we couldn't help but talk at least 3 at a time at any time. After deciding we weren't so horrible he instructed us to go to a bar down the street, the one they send the people they don't hate to. We spent the night playing erotic photo hunt, meeting creepy indians, and basically acting a fool. We got to know more of the hostel workers and other flagstaff townies. Overall it was a little strange, but a lot of fun.

The next morning we headed to the grand canyon. We did a 3 mile hike on the kaibab trail, which gave us some awesome views. Surprisingly no one needed to stop along the way to pee in the bushes. New discoveries: Kathy is some strange combination of a bird and a mountain goat, blair is the least coordinated person of all time, and farts make awesome starting guns to any miserable uphill hike.

To be fair though, we made it back out of the canyon in actually LESS time than it took us to get down there, and we passed about 50 asians along our way.

Good news: still not tired of each other, still making inappropriate jokes across the country, still stoked about the rest of the trip to come!
