Fog and Rain hampered any views of table mountain for 3 days in Cape Town. This problem was smoothed over with the fact that beer turned out to be less than 90p a pint and a massive steak was around £8.
Picked up our rented car and had to pick up the Sat Nav system for it at another place, needless to say we got lost twice to pick it up.
Having found the Sat Nav shop it turned out we were at the wrong one - 5 mins away we eventually picked up the right one.
Onwards to the Great White Shark diving capital of the world, and the centre of the universe for Sea Sickness in my case anyway - Jill was bounding all over the boat jumping in and out of the cage with aplomb.
I did manage to get in the cage and spot a 11-15 foot Great White coming in close a couple of times - amazing sight to behold. On Jumping out of the cage though it was straight to the far side of the boat to hurl my breakfast to the sharks as a thank you.
Its taken 3 days and 5 attempts to
find a working internet connection - blimey its like being in Africa.
Sweep got drunk in his 1st night in Cape Town and was found in a dog pound feeling worse for wear.
Next stage is a 5 hour drive to Mossell Bay a seaside town flanked by heavy industry, the books say dont be put off by this - we are there for 3 nights so hopefully wont be overcome by the gaseous emissions.
Speaking of which, the guest house we are currently staying in is making a curry for my 40th birthday night - ha ha!
