Sue & Tineke in Sunny Luton
Ok, so it was quite a few years since we met when we were 11 years old!! Bargains all round today ...my Daddy would be very proud of us!
First, we got cheap tickets for our train rides to London ...we think we looked so young that we must have got student rates!! Getting good at this ticket in the machine to open gates business now! Luton to Blackfriars on the overhead train. Hopped off (yes, we are youthful students you know) and walked along the Embankment to Westminster Bridge right next to Big Ben. Many photo stops along the way. Our second bargain was a saving on tickets for the London Eye as Sue prepaid on the internet (students have to watch their budgets you know!).
No queues, a bit of a frisk of the handbags etc. and we were up up and away on our "flight" on the London Eye. It was truly magnificent...many more photos taken.
Feeling hungry now, we headed in search of fodder but stopped for a McDonald's ice cream to stem the hunger pangs. Took the scenic route via St James' Park to Piccadilly Circus and T.G.I.Fridays restaurant. We passed a film set of actors/resses dressed in 40s garb..don't know what the film/show will be. Even saw some squirrels in
Sarah Revising in the Sun
Just to prove that students do do some work!! the park, men in red coats on horses and a distant view of Buckingham Palace!
After a wonderful lunch (with Tineke spilling some on her white top! ....yes, Peter, it really happened!), we headed for home, away from the big smoke and all the people.
Plenty of steps for the Child Health Centre vitrual walk today!

Great to see you are having fun though Teesh's team would prefer less walking and more trains. Have you sent in your steps not to worry we are winning now anyway ha ha Miss your chatter it is quiet here j
