... and souffle or what ever that dog´s name was.
Funny how things turn out.

Three days previously Christie and I had been sitting in Hostal Forestal eating our dinner when a lady called Jenny from England sat down next to us, offered us a beer, and started chatting.

When she found out about our cycling ambitions she told us how when she had been at the airport in London she'd met a guy called George who was cycling for two years from the bottom of South America to Alaska. I´d asked for his email, which she promised to give me the next day, but then she got robbed at a cafe over lunch and in the chaos that followed she forgot all about giving me George´s email. Which was fair enough I say.

Flash forward to this morning. Christie and I pushed our bikes into Hostal Torre Suiza, and after a few minutes this guy wanders out, tells us he´s been cycling north and we begin swapping stories. After about 15 minutes, I started adding two and two together and got four .... ¨You´re name´s not George is it?¨ I asked, and sure enough it was. He´d got sick of the Patagonian Headwinds and the Ripio, so had caught the ferry North and after a bit of a rest was thinking of cycling back down south ... with the winds.

Thus began a lazy and pleasant day, I explored the town and surrounds while Christie slept. George took off on his bike for an easy 50km return ride to Pucon and back where I had told him Jenny was currently staying. He was injured so was taking it easy!

If you want to find out more about George he has his own web blog at www.20six.co.uk/georgeidf50 (the idf50 stands for I don´t feel 50). I even get a mention ... but probably for all the wrong reasons as I´ll describe later.

===============
NEWSFLASH - I almost forgot. My bankcard has finally arrived in Santiago. Yay, now I have money, it´s just a 20 hour return bus trip away.
