Hello Hello Everyone,
Well we had a lovely stop over night in Townsville, wish we had thought to stay more than 1 night it was a really nice place. We stayed in a backpacklers called Globetrotters and it was great so cheap and we got a free dinner and breakfast ah it was like being back in South America! Had a fairly quiet night but managed to get to watch the opening night of Australian Big Brother which was exciting as now I'll know who everyone is in the magazines over here!
We got up early the next morning and got the 20 min ferry over to Magnetic Island. Arrived into Nelly bay and got the bus out to Base where we were staying. The hostel is great, RIGHT on the beach we only have to walk down 3 steps and we are there. We are back to dorms rooms in a vain attempt to save some money so that sucks but hey sure we'll cope! There is not much around the hostel at all but pretty much everything we need is right here they have a bar and a cafe, we have just had yummy breakfasts for cheap!
To be honest all we have done is lie on the beach and work on getting ourselves even browner! Been pretty lazy and chilled out and read so much Im in danger of running out of books very soon, there are no rocking book exchanges like in South America so I've been struggling! Got some nice news yesterday that Rachael had a baby boy called Hayden, so congrats and cant wait to see him!
Anyway this was a short blog compared to the few before it! We are off to Cairns in the morning, our last Greyhound bus ride, thank God!
