Our BungalowOur BungalowOur Bungalow

Baan Rom Mai
Hey guys,

Well we are finally putting up a blog that has pics of us in a different country!!! We had no problems with our three flights....well except that Sarah od'ed witht the old sleeping tablets and was partially retarded for the rest fo the journey!! 😊 We arrived in Ko Samui late Monday evening and spent three nights in the cute little bungalows you see in the pics..they were great apart from the fact that the door flew open one of the nights durning the storm and Sarah thought that a monster was coming to get us!! LOL!!! This is were we had our first lizard encounter- meeting Lazarus in our fridge...being a lizzard he didn't last long in the freezing fridge, and unfortunatley he passed away...but like the name suggests he rose from the dead and came back to visit us the next day, but kept well clear of the fridge area!! On our thrid night a MASSIVE storm started and raged on all night and for the majority of the next two days! It was a bit of a tropical nightmare- but thankfully it stopped every evening so it didn't hinder our drinking expeditions!!! Everything over here is sooo super cheap- from e0.50 cent pineapples on the beach to e7 billabong shorts to a meal for two (with lots of drink) for e20!!!

After three nights in the bungalows hotel we moved to a second one; Samui Natien Resort- that was right on the beach- the pool and bar are both overlooking the ocean- its Fab!! The hotel is also a little bit more central so we're closer to the markets, bars and restaurants!!
Another big occurnace in our first dew days was the constant power failures!! It was crazy! Like total blackouts- hotels, pubs, restaurants everything- in complete darkess!! Seriously, they need a good electrician over here...any suggestions??!! But forgetting all that, more importantly, who should we see just minutes before the whole street decended into darkness (another power failure) only JACK FROM LOST!!!! We got a pic of him eating his dinner and were going to wait until he had finished his meal before asking for pics etc, but once the power went he left like a shot!!! We spent the next two days looking for him, but weren't lucky enough to see him again!!!

We have only been here a few days

Lazurus the Lizard
and we've already had so much fun- went jet-skiing on our first day (before all the rain hit!), then with the storm we didn't have a lot of options activity wise so we basically ate and drank all the time...thank god for Nintendo DS's and cards!! Once it cleared though we have been able to make the most of having the beach on our doorstep and have taken nicely to relaxing on the sand!! In terms of proper nights out we've only had 2 really major drinking sessions, both of which were fulled nicely by our fav drinks- the ones int he coconut and in the pineapple (see pics!!)

Hmmm...what else to tell you guys!! This is actually a lot harder to write then you would imagine...but hopefully the pictures will tell a thousand words (that we clearly can't!!).

Having a ball anyway- and getting on really well...moving to Ko Phangan now for the next three night to go to the half moon festival! We just found out that the festival takes place in the jungle- not on the beach like the full moon, so Sarah is crapping herself and Dave just found out that it's all dance/trance music and so is crapping himself!! LOL!!!

Will be in touch soon,
keep us updated with all your news!

Ps: We promise we will get better at this....!! And sorry for any spelling mistakes- they keybpards have the English, Chinese and Thai alphabet on them so are very difficlt to use!! 😊
