I went on the walking tour which turned out to be a private one since noone else signed up for the day. It was cool, the guide then asked me what I wanted to check out and told everything off the beaten path. So, he was glad with that answer and proceeded to take me around to old buildings, small galleries and as we started talking he too loved to cook and eat thai food so we also did a tour of russian markets big and small and showed me around and the filled me in on local cuisine and produce. At the end of the tour he showed me good local bars to check out.

After the tour I checked out the Church on Spilled Blood and went to resturant monk themed where they brewed their own beer which was really good. Then headed back to my room and took a breather. After which I headed out to a bar my guide gave me earlier. It was called Dasha and was full of russians, artists, and foreigners and talked with a group of germans and we drank lots of vodka... ugh, I hardly remember the taxi ride home let alone part of the night. I woke up in my clothes and a pounding headache... Like Danny Glover always said in the Lethal Weapon movies... "I'm getting too old for this shit".

Got my vodka induced ass up and am now at the Hermitage which is a freaking huge museum, 1057 rooms and 117 staircases to be exact so this will tie me up all day to get around. Then I will be off to Nevsky Monastery. Then tonight going to party it up at Fish Fabrique tonight or meet up with Medina a girl that a friend gave me contact info for and she might be belly dancing at a cafe tonight. So either way good time ahead and maybe a little less vodka for me...

Ok, gotta check out some Monets, Picasso's and such...
