NOTE CHECK THIS MAP OUT THIS IS THE CAMPGOUND
We are now experts with the bus and metro. Our first stop was the
Tuileries. It is early springtime here and just a few hardy tulips were out. It is still a lovely
garden. It is Tuesday and the Louvre is closed. So we walked to Notre Dame, Paris is
a city for walking. We have learned to make lunch with our baguettes and eat like the locals.
Our next intended stop was Sacre Coeur. As we walked up through Montmartre, we realized
how far we needed to walk. We had a cafe break and then began the climb up the hills to
the Cathedral. It is yet another grand Cathedral, however the view is impressive.
Wondering through the artist area, we met some Brits and they wondered why we were
not home VOTING? I explained the absentee ballot and we laughed. We visited the
cemetery in Montmarte, many celebrities are buried here. Finally home on the metro and
bus.
