Virgin Islands

Additional maps: St. Martin, St.Barts, Saba

Some photos taken in Culebra, St. Martin, and Saba are attached.

We watched the Culebra International Heineken Regatta and the Rolex Regatta in St. Thomas. We stopped in the BVI's on our way to St. Martin. Steve and Ann Honea joined us for shopping in Marigot and Phillipsburg, a street party in Grand Case, a mud bath on Tintamarre island, scuba diving and snorkeling near St. Barts, a hike to the top of the island of Saba, and butterfly viewing just south of Orient Beach.

Saba was formed by volcanoes. This photo was taken after hiking to the top of the island. The hike to the top thru the rainforest takes 3 hours.

Marigot has fine french food and shops. Simpson Bay has bars, restaurants, boat chandleries, shops, boat repairs, laundries, groceries, a yacht club, fuel, water, ice and gathering places for cruisers to make new friends and meet up with old friends. Cruisers play Mexican Train Dominoes, have potlucks, swap books and DVD's and have boat parts flea markets in Simpson Bay.
