sunset car
the rental car with sunset The plan was to go from Kagoshima direct on to the Fukuoka by my seishun juhachi kippu (local train ticket). But this was nog possible, because it would take to long. So i decided to go through miyazaki prefecture to see how far i would come. Finaly I decided to stay for 2 days in Miyazaki and than head direct to Hiroshima. Together with Marie who i met on Yakushima we hired a car for a day and explored the area around Takachiho. For a cheap bargain we got ourself a nice toyota Vitz, with japanese navigation system. The only problem was that is was an automate and that japanese traffic drives left. The first hour we circled savely, but savely on the edge through Miyazaki to find the way out. It is so difficult to just think oposite while driving with an automate. But after an hour i got the trick and we went on to Takachiho. It was a great three hours drive along the coast, through citys and the last part trhough the mountains before we got at the Takachiho. First we visited the kyo a gorge formed over 100,000 of years. On the way back we visited
a little cherry blossom park, eated some lunch and went to a coastal area. At the coastal area we visited some view points and a light house. Around 6 PM we drove back to bring the car to the rental office. We just arrived a few minutes before closing time. The employees looked suspicious happy that the car was back without a scratch, how nice. The next day I started my local train trip to tokyo with a stop over in Hiroshima, osaka and Yokohama. It will take me probaly about 53 hours, 26 times switching and many many stops, but it is cheap, haha. I will have some time to think about my amazing trip. When I am back in Tokyo i will work on a movie of my trip, so thats for next time...see you than...best
