Hi everyone,

Claire here again with her late entry..whoops-I guess we're just having too much fun! Teehee.

Angela finished the last blog by telling you all that we celebrated St.Patrick's Day in Koh Samui. We had such a fab night but needless to say the next day was far from productive. We had what we are now calling a 'lazy day'..as if every day isn't like that on holidays!! The day after that however was very action packed. As the girls have already mentioned we fell in with some boys in Tropical Murphy's. One of them decided to take us on a road trip of the island. He hired a jeep for us and was like our personal chauffeur for the day. We were all sun creamed and ready to go for 9 bells..not bad for us! So Ken from Cork (our chauffeur) picked us up and first stop was breakfast in Murphys. Yummy! So we set off for what was one of the funniest days ever.

We stopped off at Lamai beach for a few pics of the sights and have a wee nosey in the shops. Back in the jeep we got and it was so so so hot. We just went for a wee drive around the island, after a few wrong turns, a few hilarious games and of course some great singing done by the travelling trio we got to the Samui Aquarium & Tiger Zoo. We made our way through the aquarium and seen some amazing fish and all the other little sea creatures plus we even got feeding the biggest turtles i've ever seen. We were there just in time for a show too. It started with the most stunning coloured birds flying around and literally skimming past our heads. They done various little tricks and it was all very funny. Then on came the tigers which was all a little daunting-thank God they were in a cage..one thing for sure I was adamant at that stage I wasn't getting any closer to them! The show lasted an hour or so and it was really good so we made our way out and Ken insisted that we go and get a photo taken with a Bengal tiger. At that very thought I froze..I didn't think at 8 that morning when I was dressing that I was going to be in cage with a tiger so what did i decide to wear only my tiger/animal print dress thing. The girlies were all on for this brilliant photo shoot so in we went ot the cage..at this stage its safe to safe I was scared. I was sure that the tiger was going to pounce on us (me)! But I must admit the photo was taken and the tiger never budged-apparently they be a little sedated ..very cruel but thank God i say. So out we went with the photo an all..all chuffed with ourselves having been so brave! We found a wee beach which we had all to ourselves and lay on it for a few hours. The we made our way back to the appartment for what was our last night in Koh Samui.

The boys had all planned to meet for dinner in a bar/restaurant called the 'Irish Times'. We got all spruced up and ready to go and our chauffeur came back to collect us at our appartment. We had the craic and banter there and after what was a gorgeous meal (courtesy of the boys) we went to Tropical Murphy's...heaven forbid we go somewhere else on our last night! The boys were more than good to us and we have only good things to say about them all!

The next day we were up earlyish to get our taxi to the port for our ferry to Koh Phangan. We were gutted to be leaving Koh Samui as we had had such a fab time but looking forward to Koh Phangan for the full moon party..which was amazing but i'll leave it to the others to fill you lot in on that.

Lots of love,
Claire xoxoxoxxo
