Sunbathing again at last!
Hola!

Well weather.com was correct yet again and the weather was gorgeous by the time we got to Punta Del Este last Friday. Punta Del Este is Uruguays most popular (and expensive!) beach resort, it is really pretty with loads of nice beaches to choose from. It is out of the high season this now so everything was pretty quiet and not much happening at nights at all, oh and there were hundreds of American tourists if you closed your eyes you could be in Florida!! We stayed in 1949 Hostel which was about 50m from the beach, just perfect! So we had a lovely weekend trying to get our tans back and eating lots of lovely food. We also found a Casino and oh it was so exciting it was like being back in Vegas with the slot machines, it was all in US Dollars so at least we knew what we were doing, we won about 20 Dollars, and yes it went straight back in again!! Had a really good time in Punta, I think that was helped by the change in the weather right enough!!

As we didnt get up to much in Montevideo due to

The suns out!
rain and hangovers we decided to stop for a night there before we headed back to Buenos Aires. Stayed in The Red Hostel which was really nice and on the other side of the city from the hostel we stayed in on the first visit. The sun was out and we got to look around properly, we quite liked it here and if we had had longer there are lots of beaches around aswell. Martyn got a haircut as it had not been done since Rio, this is always amusing to see what he´ll come out with! The guy was funny but didnt understand us at all, anyway Martyn looks like hes away to join the army! I think it looks lovely and will stop his head being so hot in the sun!!

We had to get a bus back to Colonia and then the ferry over to Buenos Aires. Of course I took us to the port and not the bus station which was oh so wrong so we had to pay to get a taxi to the bus station, not happy campers I´ll tell you! Anyway we were delighted to be back in Buenos Aires, if only

The Fingers in the sand
for the fact the currency is easier to work out! There are 6 pesos to the pound here but about 40 in Uruguay and Im not so good at divding by 40! They also take US Dollars everywhere and its so confusing. Dreading Chile as its about 900 pesos to the pound!

So we decided to stay at a different hostel this time in Buenos Aires, Hostel Inn Tango City. Really nice hostel with a bar woo hoo! Still in San Telmo, we really liked it there, so close to the center and really nice. So we still had a couple of things we wanted to do that we never got round to last time, namely see Eva Peron (Evitas) grave and see the big metal flower that opens with daylight and closes at night, how cool! The actual name of it escapes me so excuse me this now! Evitas grave was good to see but the actual Recoleta Cementry is something else, its huge and the coffins are all in Tombs its pretty amazing to see.

The weather has been beautiful and we have walked ALL over the city, we know it like the back of our

hands! We have lay in loads of parks enjoying the sun its been the perfect end to Argentina. Loved Buenos Aires its a great city, sad to be leaving but getting excited about Santiago and Chile.
So we fly tomorrow at 3pm over to Santiago and we are gonna stay there for 3 or 4 days till we decide what we will do...good news though weather.com says its sunny and 29 degrees for the next 10 days!!!

I´m sorry again for the lack of pictures when we eventually find one with USB ports there is always some problem, I know we are way behind on them but will get it done before we go to OZ in like 2 weeks woo hoo!!

Lots of Love xxxxx
