After Luxor we arrived 5 hrs later by bus to the red sea coast, in Hurghada. we arrived at night, so we didn't get a chance to peek at the famed waters until morning, when we woke up and took a look on our balcony. wow! if expectations were ever met, this was it! gorgeous crystal clear tourquoise waters were spread out on the horizon. the end of february is still a little early for full fleged beaching, but nonetheless the tourist were there. the entire coastline is bought up by 4/5 star hotels/resteraunts/bars, so there isnt a public beach, unfortunatly. strange...right? so instead we would go to hotels and pay a fee to soak in the nature, or go to a restaurant and drink/eat their mandatory fees away. it definately had the packaged 2 week tour feel, which meant soaring prices for absolutely everything, and the equivalent level of harrasement as luxor......which for most people is probably tolerable when its shorterm, but it can get really tiring and old when its constant. "come look my shop, where you from my friend, discount for you, come see , why not ? where you go, you come later? lucky man, lucky man, lucky man....." all this and you have only walked out of your hotel and pass 1 or 2 shops on the way to breakfast.

we left 2 days later to take a bus up to suez, where the suez canal is. we stayed overnight, just so we could check out the boats going through, and then first thing the next morning off to the sinai penninsula to dahab. as soon as we got to dahab, we knew we would love it. there something about some places that just fit, or suit you well. the vibe was sooo laid back, no one pressured you, and even if they did, they were so friendly about it. our first night we went out for a giant seafood dinner which was amazing, and then out to rush, a restaurant/bar we now work at! we were offered the job the next day, when we saw one of the staff on the beach, we said " why not ?" i think his timing was perfect, and part to blame, we were sitting there soaking in the bliss, watching scuba divers go in and out from dives and windsurfers/kiteboarders just beyond them. we were sitting there

thinking how amazing this places was and how much there was to do !! plus the bar plays really good music, and has lots of personality and we are running out of money and decided to stick in one place for a while. we get to work together of course, and we just basically hang out with locals and other travellers. we also got an apartment which is simple and clean, but equiped with a fridge and stove, so its budget friendly b/c we can make our own breakfast/lunch ( which believe it or not eating out 3 times a day can get annoying ) . we also got a puppy, which we named stella, but we had to give her away after 4 days. 😞 my heart almost broke! it all just kept coming towards us so naturally, job, apartment, dog, it just seemed like fun to have one, but obviously they take up alot of time and care, and she whined and barked when we were gone, so our neighbors were a tad annoyed. we kept joking that next, someones gonna offer us a child!
so we are here now, we only have a few pics but we will post another blog soley on dahab.

You are soooo cool.
Dude. Dahab sounds like a cool ass place. I wish I could go there. Oh wait, I have. We miss you guys and wish that we could be sitting on the beach drinking some Luxor and chillin' out. I hope all is going well and that you aren't too bored now that the coolest people have left. Once we figure out how to break into your account we'll post some pictures. Laura says she misses her girl talk with bobby... oh I mean Kim. Just kidding. Have fun and soak in those rays for all of us.
