Well, hello again everyone!
We have arrived up here in north-west Wisconsin at a place called Webster. We are visiting with friends, Blaine & Jeannie. They are folks that Sharon knows from her days in PNG (Papua, New Guinea). Actually I heard Jeannie and Sharon were good friends as singles and spent many Saturday mornings visiting over coffee discussing the possibility if either would ever marry. Jeannie and Blaine have now been married for 20 years. Sharon had to wait a little longer before Eric and I came along.
After enjoying a peaceful night in my little hideaway (see picture), it has been a rather uneventful day today. We needed that after yesterday.
My masters had breakfast at Denny's (I enjoyed a cranberry muffin - hmmm, good!).
Then it was on our way. We just did a quick stop at a rest area, where my masters consumed a muffin. While there we took pictures of a couple of plaques - you might be able to read them. Then we got back on our way once more, arriving in here about 2:45 PM. Along the way there were some neat rock formations. (see pics).
The folks live out in the country and have a beautiful spot.
And I have met Skeezix - he is a Chihuahua. While he is a nice little dog, I have tended to be over attentive and for some reason he doesn't seem to appreciate it!! Hmmmm.....I think we will be able to survive the night. My masters will keep me in their room over night so that will be a help, I'm sure!
And then there is the fact that, as far as we know, neither my masters nor I have slept in a place with a real live snake before! "Tootsie Roll" is a King snake and is Blaine's pet! Well behaved we are told, and kept in an aquarium, fed frozen mice, which come in by mail!! Did I say the day was rather uneventful?????
This is kinda “red-neck” country up here. There is a restaurant down at the corner called "The Hunter's Inn", and when we drove by the parking lot was full of pick-ups! The gas station where my master filled up in Webster, also sported pictures of hunters with their trophy deer, etc.! And you can see by the picture that they are into ice fishing. While it is very mild here today, there must still be enough ice to handle the “traffic”!
My masters enjoyed a quiet evening with their friends and a great supper!
Tomorrow we are off to Jamestown, North Dakota!
So till then - bow wow for now!

A SNAKE........Yikes
Hi, Sounds like you guys are having fun. Benji, no wonder you found a hideaway. I would have hidden too if I saw a snake that size. Nice little chihuahua. Hope you two got along okay. Chihuahuas can be quite picky who they hang around with. I am really enjoying your updates every day. Since Pulpit Supply is suspended for now your blog is the next best thing. Bon Voyage. I'll be watching for tomorrow's update. BTW Nice pics.
