MrC and Ruffie leaving on Jetstar Launceston.
Hi Ya Everyone,
Well was it an experience flying today or what!

Started off very early this morning when we were taken to the airport by my sister-in-law Alice (Thanks Alice).
The flight from Launceston to Melbourne was great, seemed to go very fast, was an uneventful flight.

When we booked in for our Melbourne to Sydney flight we were told that we could fly earlier so we chose to do that, which gave us an hour in Melbourne with Marcey (Jabba Jaws - her words not mine!) Heehee… Had a lovely time catching up with her before getting on the plane late….they were fixing/checking one of the engines - seems QANTAS always does a check and maintenance after each flight… I felt safe!

PPfftthhh then we got in the air, flying in a 737, we had turbulence going up, and then again going over the Snowy River scheme, I took photos for Mum cos Heinzie Baby actually worked on that. Then when we were coming into Sydney was really bad time with turbulence.

Was on the wrong side of the plane for a picture of the Opera house and Sydney Bridge sorry folks.. heehee, will see

Our plane Launceston to Melbourne journey.
if I can get one from the air on the way to Norfolk Island.

Anyway arrived in Sydney to find we had 2 choices of Hotel to stay…one was for $350 a night and the other $400 a night… I turned to Charlie and nearly had a fit….

Anyway we rang DB and she told me where the accommodation board was and I went and looked while Charlie looked after the suitcases. I check and called Charlie over and we decided on one that has a bus shuttle, so are staying two nights at the Airport Sydney International Inn, its part of the Hydro Majestic Hotel chain, and at $ 159 night a much much better deal!

Settled in and went for a walk, saw an amazing water bird, but I didn’t have my camera so I will try to get a picture tomorrow, we are right near the International Airport and the waterways, so will do come camera action tomorrow.

We had a delightful evening meal of grilled salmon with lemon sauce for me (they think it was Tasmanian salmon but they were not sure.) Charlie had the seafood basket…you know the usual thing Rick….

Heehee She called herself Jabba not me!!
I think I enjoyed my salmon more than Charlie did his basket, but from the looks of it Charlie will go for the salmon and lemon sauce.
The veggies were lovely crisp and sweet to. Best sweet corn cob I have had in a long time. (hmmm sounds like a restaurant blog!)

Enjoy the pictures….
