So last Friday I skipped school with Maya and we all went to the beach. It was quite nice out but the surf sucked. Saturday and Sunday though were super fun surf days. I went out for double sessions both days. It was mellow surf, nothing gnarly at North Avalon. Sunday night I had to do a lot of homework and was very tired at the end of it all. Monday was school and then climbing at the Rock House. I'm definitely improving in this department but I still really suck. Maya and Conner are crazy climbers. I can now do medium hard climbs and a few hard ones. I get so tired though.
Soccer tryouts are next Thursday. I might go out for the team but I don't have any gear. I hope its not too demanding either because if I make the team I'll be bummed if it cuts into my surf time. Next Friday I have another geography excursion. It sounds like an interesting one. We're going to the city to do a model U.N. type of thing. Geography is by far my favorite class. It's very interesting. I thought it would we would study just
country locations and some politics maybe nut it's more like environmental science in a way. We learn about weather and human impacts and all that stuff.
This week was rainy and everyone was complaining that it was really cold. Yesterday it poured hard all day. It was kind of intense. It did get a little chilly but not cold. People here have no idea what cold is. Today is a bit chilly too. It's sunny and the surf is totally blown out. I'm bummed. Tonight we're making pizza and watching movies. Tomorrow we're going bouldering at the Pitch. It'll be fun. The surf's supposed to get better tomorrow as well. Richard left for the states again today so I'm out of a surf partner. I'll be flying solo in the surf.
Oh on Saturday Anton took some pictures of Richard and I. I was pretty stoked. I never have pictures of myself surfing.

I printed the surf pic at the above right... everyone at work says you look Pro. I said "yep, thats my boy" ...they are wondering what the guy in the red trunks is doing...
