A month later, but this is the start. of my new life..

Hello people... This is my first blog and I'm v proud of myself for working out the website (as I'm not v good with technology!).

By way of context to this whole site thing there are a few things that I should probably point out - (i) I quit my job in the City on 7th January (bonus day), so am now on 'gardening leave' although some people are calling me unemployed/a lady of leisure/a bum; (ii) after resigning my job as an investment banker i promptly went out with my best mates and got rather drunk on pink champagne - must learn to curb my enthusiasm for such 'luxuries' now! (and no more purchasing of gucci bags, boo hoo); (iii) my days are currently filled with going to the gym at the moment, shopping, baking cakes, drinking (scarily like a student again), oh and wednesdays are my pole dancing lessons (and no it's not my new career choice)...

Anyway it's a month (or so) later and I am getting excited about embarking on my travels. The plan is to go to Hong Kong for the 7s and then on to Oz and then New Zealand for the England Rugby summer tour - ok, so my travel plans have a strong rugby bias to them but that's probably not a surprise to anyone who knows me. Also causing me a bit of a dilemma at the moment is just what to pack in my suitcase - I have a pechant for high heels (as have a height paranoia, as am 5'3"), but doubt that I can fill my suitcase with lots of shoes without fully expecting to have the p!ss taken out of me the second that I try to unpack at a hostel!

Right, must dash as have a date in front of the tv this afternoon watching the rugby and footie.
