Ingrid "just like Bergman" she said. Read our plams with deadly accuracy in McDonalds of all places. LOL! So we have been in Singapore for two nights and will be leaving for Kuala Lampur, Malaysia tomorrow. It's nice to have hot weather rather than the 10-13 C we had in Hong Kong. This will bring us to the end of the more expensive places we planned to go and the money situation is still looking good. We made the mistake of not getting an air ticket for proof of onward travel as one is needed to enter Singapore. We got the tickets to Malaysia for about $110 each and were planning to go to Malaysia anyways. They are refundable at a minor loss and we did consider going to Bali for a few weeks of beach time but we should be able to find what we are looking for in Malaysia. It sounds like it will be even a little hotter in Malaysia but with our beach plans for Malaysia this should not matter too much. My wife Sindy and I went for a fantastic Chinese dinner last night at one of the street vendors in China town with a family from Australia and are now thinking about Inian food this afternoon as we are in little India now. We stayed in Geylang which is the red light district in Singapore. It's a safe busy area with lost of open air restaurants in the area and it's legal to walk around drinking beer here. While I don't think this is the best place for back packers to spend much time due to expense you can make it work. The touristy stuff is not the greatest but all the different markets and ethnic areas are worth wandering around. The people are very friendly and helpful for the most part. We got a bit of a history lesson and tour from a Chinese man named Richard that we met in the street today. English is an official language here so I watched Survivor last night and all the signs etc are in English. There is no USB at this cafe so we will upload pictures at the next chance we get as we are a little behind.
