Brigid turns 21!
Me & Brigid (Zimbabwe, Africa)
Buenos Aires Argentina STILL IN BUENOS AIRES… Well another week has passed and I’m tired! Continue to enjoy BA, the people and culture.
I’ve moved to a new apartment and it’s very nice. No more dirty bathroom! This apartment has a rooftop pool…so nice.
January 30, 2008 - Went to Café Tortoni, the city’s oldest café (opened in 1858) for a Tango show. There were tango dancers, an opera singer and the ever famous Argentine gaucho. The gaucho’s were the best!
January 31, 2008 - Helped celebrate Brigid’s 21st birthday in Palermo (a neighborhood in BA). Brigid is from Zimbabwe, Africa and traveling for 3 months in Latin America.
February 2, 2008 - Went to CARNAVAL in Gualeguaycho. It was amazing! I had the best time. About 50 of us went from the school via 4 hour bus ride, spent the day at the beach and then on to Carnaval at 10pm and back on the bus at 2am. A very exhausting 24 hours but it was well worth it. The beach was beautiful and the water was like bath water. A storm blew in out of nowhere and quickly disappeared but not before emptying the beach. Carnaval was incredible!
I can’t even explain it, you can’t stand still, everyone is on their chair and the music is pumping. Next year Rio!
