So it is now summer here and the weather is...interesting. It is hotter during the day than it was before, because it isnt raining at all. But there is this gorgeoussss breeze that is almost always there, so if you're outside, you don't feel the heat quite so badly. Buttttt, because its not raining there is more dust than I think I have ever seen in my life, and those nice cooling breezes love throwing all that dust into your eyes, hair, and well, everywhere. I thought the mud was bad during the rainy season, but the dust is most definitely worse haha. But oh well. Not a problem!

Nothing that interesting has really been happening lately. Ive been doing the usual spending two nights in Chacocente, working with the people and all that kind of stuff. There arent quite so many cultural differences for me to write about now, because Ive become so used to them, but theres always something different to talk about. Like when I was at Veronicas house and we had to put a trail of tomatoes in the house to coax the piglet out from under the bed because it was scared of the dog and was hiding hahaha. It cracked me up!! And then that night I slept in that same bed, with that same piglet under it. Snorting and making noise the whole time I was falling asleep. The houses are made of cement blocks, with cement floors, so animals in the houses are very normal occurences.

Staying in Chacocente has become wonderfullll for me. Mostly just the time I have with the kids makes me so happy. I was playing soccer with David, Jose and other kids in the one field and I think I am becoming sort of like them. Instead of making sure I was in sneakers and shorts to play I was in my jeans and barefoot just running around, covered in dust that was sticking to me because I was sweating so much, and not minding it at all. We played for a while and then started back towards Davids house and all just plopped down on the grass together because we were exhausted. David had his head resting on my stomache and we all just layed there looking at the beautifulllll blue sky, full of clouds; a pile of sweaty, dirty and very happy youth. It's the smallest moments like that, that remind me exactly why I came to Nicaragua in the first place. And I love it.

Later that same evening, I was staying at Davids house with his family, and was laying on one of the beds watching TV. Little Tatiana was cuddled up to me, and so was David and within ten minutes I had like 6 kids all on the bed with me. Of course we decided to have a tickling war at that point and it was just so great to laugh and enjoy myself with all of them.

The next night I stayed at a house that has four kids. Juan is 15. Amelia is 13. Jose is 11 and Deivin is 4. Once it got dark outside Juan and his cousin put a tarp down in front of the house and well all ended up piling on it to lay out and watch the stars. We were all talking, laughing, playing and just generally happy over, well, nothing. I know none of these things are insanely significant, but I live for the little things in life and all these moments for me are absolutely wonderful. Theyre why I love being in this country oh so much!

In three weeks, Ted Anderson, Bille Elaine Ward, Emily Barksdale and other loves of mine will be here for a week. I am so insanely excitedddddd!!! And then in March, Kelsey and Maria are coming to spend TEN days with me! Wahhh!!! :-)
