Since you last heard your three favorite latin america travelers have gone through many triials and tribulations. Upon leaving Creel, with Barton as navigator, we took a ¨short cut¨ down a road that was not on one map and a spotted, dotty line on another. After 60 miles of bumps, potholes, and large boulders (average speed 15 mph) we were ready to turned back. Remembrenig our Urique adventure we this time let valor overcome caution and pressed on. No sooner had we done so, we look to our right and see a dead dog hanging by its neck from a tree next to a lone shack in the middle of nowhere. No one spoke for about ten minutes. 20 miles later, having not seen a roadsign in years we ran over a nail and got a flat. As I started to freak out, Barton and Roycraft (mainly Roycraft) changed the flat and we were on our way, we just didnt know where. Finally we saw a roadsign and drove the remianing 15 miles to civilization. We drank beers and ate carne asada tacos in Besesechea, home to north america´s tallest waterfall and apparently bad place to be of the canine genus.

We bought a tire for 20 bucks and had some humbres put it on for 2 bucks and the next day we drve to Hermissilo, large, fashion filled town where we drank at a local spot and watched the PAcific MExican baseball league playoffs. In the morning we were on our way to San Carlos and the warm sunny beach when realized I had left severeal important documents on the roof of the car. After more panic we found almost all the documents strewn across the city streets of Hermissilo. Drove past San Carlos with its mex-marines and tasty shrimp tacos and staeyed in Navajo, watched game two of the series, Mazatlan won 3-2 in 13. series tied 1-1. Today we arrived in Mazatlan where we plan to hole up for a few days, half the town is a tourist mecca while the other half is a charming historical center, we aer staying in the old town, charming part but I know Barton plans to hit up Senor Frogs later..... tommoorow night we are gonna try to score tickets to the ballgame....
warm, relaxed, still alive and trucking....

Sounds fun
Glad to hear you are well Sam. I have been down to Maztlan a few times myself, and it was quite fun, especially because I was in highschool and able to go out to the bars. Enjoy the coast, and the great seafood. watch out for quemadures(jelly fish) in the ocean there. Tell me if you go to the wierd castle night club, if you see it you'll know what I mean. Keep your wallet in your front pocket.
